1898 P, O and S Morgan Dollars
In 1898, approximately 6 million Morgans were minted in Philadelphia (no mint mark) 4 million were made in New Orleans (O) and 4 Million were produced in San Francisco (S).
Events of 1898: USS Maine blown up in Havana (February 15), US annexation of Hawaii (July 7), Spanish-American War ends (December 10), Pierre and Marie Curie announce their discovery of radium (December 26).
